El alcalde explic\u00f3 que el incremento salarial provocar\u00e1 una cadena de ajustes en diversos sectores, comenzando por el transporte, que ya exige un alza en las tarifas como respuesta directa al aumento salarial. \u201cVamos a comenzar a tener una espiral inflacionaria\u201d, sostuvo, se\u00f1alando que los precios de los productos en los mercados comenzar\u00e1n a subir de forma sostenida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Seg\u00fan Torres, el impacto para la Alcald\u00eda de Tarija ser\u00e1 de aproximadamente 1,2 millones de bolivianos adicionales por a\u00f1o. Sin embargo, expres\u00f3 una mayor preocupaci\u00f3n por el efecto que tendr\u00e1 esta medida sobre el sector privado. \u201cMuchas empresas no podr\u00e1n sostener esta carga y corren el riesgo de quebrar. En Tarija eso implicar\u00eda m\u00e1s pobreza y desempleo\u201d, lament\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
El alcalde tambi\u00e9n cuestion\u00f3 el razonamiento del Gobierno, que justifica la medida como un mecanismo para mejorar el poder adquisitivo de los trabajadores. \u201cNo se combate la inflaci\u00f3n subiendo sueldos, porque cuando suban los salarios, tambi\u00e9n subir\u00e1n los precios. Y as\u00ed entramos en un c\u00edrculo vicioso\u201d, concluy\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
